Introducing Roushaun Johnson, Mrs. California 2019 of the Mrs & Mrs. Black America Pageant This was the first pageant created to celebrate married couples. Its mission is to build strong families, strong marriages, healthy communities, and a strong economy.
As Mrs. California, Roushaun’ s mission and platform were to Empower and Mentor our Youth Girls and give back to her community. Dr. Joyce Brothers said, “a positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success in life.” Roushaun believes in that premise. Thru her Non- Profit Girl’s Club, “Mission Possible,” she focused on Developing Positive Self-Image, Academic Achievement, Community Service, and Strong Bonds of Sisterhood among the young girls. One of her goals for “Mission Possible” is to provide them with international travel opportunities, exposing them to diverse cultures and experiences.
During her Reign as Mrs. California, she created her second Non-Profit Organization, “Halo Boutique.” It is a Free Community Clothes Closet that provides clothes and shoes to families in need of assistance. Within its first four months, her Clothes Closet serviced over 200 families and gave away over 500 clothes and shoe items. Roushaun’s Humanitarian Spirit has impacted many lives.
